After competing at his first Westernationals in 2007, Darren Parker is returning to Perth in 2012, this time to compete in a strong field of Super Stockers in his Jerry Haas Pontiac GXP.
The Sydney Dragway Board would like to hold a casual meeting with all racers and interested parties at Sydney Dragway at 7:00pm this Friday Night (24th February). The purpose of the meeting is to bring everyone up to speed and answer any questions you may have regarding the future of the venue and Drag Racing in Sydney. We understand it is short notice however the Board is keen to pick up the ball and run with it so if you have an hour or so to spare on Friday Night we would love to see you there.
Following on from a meeting held between ANDRA, Sydney Dragway and Willowbank Raceway, talks have resulted in a way forward to ensure the current Championship series stays alive for 2012 and ANDRA is given every chance to succeed in remodelling the sport to ensure a strong 2013 and beyond for Championship Drag Racing. It was announced today ANDRA, Sydney Dragway and Willowbank Raceway will introduce a graduated prizemoney scale which will be used at events for the remainder of the 2011/2012 ANDRA Championship calendar, securing viability at the events and making sure the tracks can afford to continually run them.
The return of championship drag racing in South Australia with the ANDRA Pro Series 1000 event at Adelaide International Raceway is gaining momentum, Rino D’Alfonso the event promoter has made the following announcement.
