Jet dragsters and the fourth round of the Direct Mining & Industrial Summer Slam Series highlighted the January 23 running of Perth Motorplex’s Night of Fire.
John Zappia has extended his lead in the WA Summer Slam Series following victory against Mark Chapman at the Night of Fire on Saturday night.
The biggest nitro event in Australia since March took place at Perth Motorplex on January 2 as the Nitro Slam combined the BME WA Nitro Championship, Nitro Bikes and the Summer Slam.
The Perth Motorplex will get 2021 off to a great start with its Nitro Slam event this Saturday, January 2. The event will be headlined by Nitro Funny Cars and Nitro Front Engine Dragsters, nitro-burning Motorcycles and 10 of the hugely popular Top Doorslammers as they continue their fight for the Summer Slam series.
John Zappia’s rollercoaster season in the Dananni Hotshots/Tony’s Auto Wreckers Monaro Top Doorslammer continued last Saturday at Perth Motorplex, after a gear shifting gremlin cost the team a chance at making the final of Summer Slam round two.
The second round of the WA Drag Racing Championship took place on November 28, with Daniel Gregorini making an amazing comeback to win round two of the Summer Slam in his Camaro Top Doorslammer.
