Over two years later Fenech is back racing a Pro Slammer again, now for Maurice Fabietti’s AC Delco team and again finished the event holding up the Gold Christmas Tree fortunately without the extra drama.
With just two Top Fuel Motorcycles at the event it would be a dual between two potential five second quarter mile challengers.
Australian Pro Stock’s newest racer, Mario Polito made his long-awaited debut at the uber-successful Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder round on Saturday, May 8 at Sydney Dragway. While the Sydneysider didn’t score any round wins, the game-plan for the weekend was simply about taking the JD Concrete-sponsored Chevy Cobalt to half track.

January 2020 was the last time professional drag racing fired a shot in anger in Australia, as the 2021 Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder event restarted the longest championship series in history. The event was the penultimate round of the 400 Thunder championship for all brackets ahead of next month’s Winternationals and Mother Nature wasn’t going to let drag racing off easy with its comeback.
A Pro Extreme and Pro Stock exhibition featured at Sydney Dragway’s revamped 2021 Atura NSW Championship Series as sportsman racers racked up early points for their respective track championship brackets.
