Jim Read Racing would like to thank its fans and the drag racing community at large for the outpouring of support it has received since the incident which occurred at Sydney Dragway on Saturday evening.

The Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship will make history next season, visiting every Australian state and territory with a national level drag strip for the first time.

In a sensational evening of Top Fuel qualifying, the Atlantic Oils/Rapisarda Autosports International dragsters of Damien Harris and Wayne Newby stormed their way to the top the qualifying sheets in record time during round 4 of the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship at Sydney Dragway’s Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs event.

As the Top Fuel teams head into this weekend’s Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway, the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship sits delicately poised at the midway point of the series. Such is the evenness of the competition, all three rounds to date have resulted in three different winners.
