Seasoned drag racer Phil Gardiner had plenty to smile about at Red CentreNATS last week, taking out the Heavy Hitters 8.0 class after a hard-fought day of racing at Alice Springs Inland Dragway.
The 2022/2023 Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship kicked off on September 1st and 2nd and for the first time ever, the nitro powered dragsters were as the headline act for Alice Springs’ amazing Red CentreNats event!
The Red CentreNATS brought the biggest drag racing show ever to Alice Springs Inland Dragway across September 2-4, hosting the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship, the ADRC Top Doorslammers and over 100 Heavy Hitter racers, as well as grudge runs and competition for the RCN Grand Champion.
It is with great regret that Top Fuel has decided to postpone its Summernats Slam event scheduled for October 1 and 2 at Heathcote Park Raceway. There are a number of factors behind the decision, including heavy wet weather experienced in the last month, with even more forecast for the next couple of weeks leading to the event.
