Rumor has reached Drag News Australia that Larry Dixon will not be returning to race in Australia at the Winternationals and instead will be replaced by Tommy Johnson Jr.

The largest championship drag race held outside of the USA is drawing plenty of attention nationwide and overseas, with a number of USA drag racing identities signing up to take part either on-track or in the pits at Willowbank Raceway’s FUCHS Winternationals (7-10 June).
In just two weeks, Australia’s biggest drag racing event, the Fuchs Winternationals, will kick off at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway for four days of world class motorsport.

Maurice Allen, one of Australia’s most popular motorcycle drag racers, has added Fuchs Lubricants to his sponsorship portfolio, with the German oil manufacturer joining Milwaukee Tools as the successful Victorian-based team prepare for the Fuchs Winternationals.

With 15 entrants and a tense championship battle looming, the Top Doorslammer category at Willowbank Raceway’s FUCHS Winternationals is shaping up to be a ‘must-watch’ for the estimated 40,000 spectators expected over the event’s four days (7-10 June).
The Fuchs Winternationals is an event where the best drag racers in the nation meet and it is the same attraction that brings new competitors into categories to prove themselves in Australian drag racing’s most highlighted spectacle.

Drag Racing veteran Jim Read will launch his “warts and all” biography at the forth-coming Winternationals entitled The Jim Read Story – The Good, Bad and Ugly.
