More than 200 race teams came together from all over the country for this weekend’s Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam to race in front of a capacity crowd in honour of Sam Fenech and celebrate the sport he loved.
More than 200 race teams are counting down the hours until the beginning of Saturday’s racing for the Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam, following the conclusion of qualifying Friday evening.
With tickets flying out the door and racer entries maxed out, this Friday and Saturday’s Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam is set to be an epic celebration of the best of Australian drag racing.
For a motorsport event it is rare for the racing to take second place to anything else, but this weekend’s Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam at Sydney Dragway will be an emotional and moving occasion as the drag racing community pays tribute to Top Doorslammer driver Sam Fenech, who passed away following an accident at Willowbank Raceway on January 7.
PremiAir Racing will soon hit the road to Sydney to compete in the next round of the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship – the Top Fuel Slam at Sydney Dragway – across January 27 and 28.
When it comes to this Friday and Saturday’s Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam, John Willard is one racer sure to be turning heads.
Victorian Craig Geddes is no stranger to winning events, the Group 2 Super Stock and Competition Eliminator gun for over two decades has now set his sights on the top tier of aspirated drag racing – Pro Stock.
Following the tragic passing of Sam Fenech at Willowbank Raceway earlier this month, the Atlantic Oils Top Fuel Slam will bring the drag racing community together to race in his honour.
It promises to be the most state of the art dragway in the world. The Bend Dragway located in Murray Bend in South Australia is really starting to take shape.
