After three rounds of racing across South Queensland the Grand Finale for the inaugural Nitro Magazine South Queensland Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series will come to Gladstone’s Benaraby Raceway this Saturday the 25th of September.

It is with great honour that LAT Racing Oils Australia (Joe Polito) and Dragster Australia announce the facilitation of a six second elapsed time club for Australian Pro Stock Drivers.

For Steven Ham and the Mobil 1 East Coast Lubes Team, last weekend’s Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway saw the team post their best ever result since stepping up to the ANDRA Pro Series in the highly competitive Top Alcohol ranks.

At the invitation of the WA Sporting Car Club, the Zappia Racing Team presented the “Crusher” Procomp Motorsport HQ Monaro Top Doorslammer at Barbagallo Raceway for demonstration runs at the Supercharge HQ Nationals to the delight of the local HQ racers and fans.

The end of the 2009/2010 ANDRA Pro Series, didn’t end the way that the Jason Hedges Racing team wanted and hence during the offseason, the entire team got to work and all pulled in the one direction. The fruits of their labour were all seen on Sunday during eliminations at the 2010 Fuchs Lubricants Australian Nationals.

  Sportsman racers will converge on Palmyra Dragway in Mackay on 1st and 2nd of October for the second round the Rocket Allstar Racing Series.  

Nearly half the entries at the 2010 FUCHS Australian Nationals held over the weekend of September 11th and 12th at Sydney Dragway came from outside New South Wales.

The preparation and build up to the Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway over the weekend of 10-12 September started on Monday 7th September with the McDonalds 3 minute guarantee drive thru promotion. As stated in a previous press release we had our spare Top Fuel car prepared in full McDonald’s livery for this promotion at the Wetherill Park store. The day was a great success with a lot of people on hand to see the filming of the promotion.

Right from the beginning of the weekend, everyone knew that Pro Stock was going to be the bracket of the 2010 Fuchs Australian Nationals – and that it was. The event provided the quickest ever 16 car field in Australian Pro Stock history with the bump being a stout 7.18 seconds.

The 2010 Fuchs Nationals held last weekend at Sydney Dragway proved to be a challenge for three times National Champion John Zappia, when he failed to qualify in the ANDRA Top Doorslammer field. This was the first time in four years that the team failed to qualify.

The Fuchs Australian Nationals is the most prestigious drag race in the country and the 2010 edition is what could be best described as the Upset Nationals.
