Sam Fenech. I have been trying to come up with what to say after such a tragedy, along with the words to describe the kind of person Sam is, that hasn’t already been said. But that is what Sam’s legacy is, no matter what superlative you can think of to describe a person’s character, you would be able to attribute it to Sam.
It is with great sadness that Top Fuel Racing Australia announces that Sam Fenech, driver of the Fabietti Racing Doorslammer, has succumbed to injuries suffered in a racing accident at Willowbank Raceway and passed away this evening (Saturday Jan 7).
Day one of the New Year Nitro event has opened 2023 with a bang at Willowbank Raceway this evening, with the stage now set for what is sure to be an epic day of racing tomorrow at the Ipswich (Queensland) venue.
