With the eleventh season of drag racing at Perth Motorplex underway, Mandurah based drag racer Mark Rothwell is getting set for an all out assault on the title of Australia’s quickest Pro Street Blown sedan.

The ACDelco 300ZX of Michael Frossos was out at the Perth Motorplex for the opening meeting looking forward to the season ahead, but not all went to plan for the quick Nissan.  

The Goldenstates event in Perth in December will not be a national record setting event for Group 2 and 3 competitors, despite an application from the track to ANDRA.

Lamattina Top Fuel Racing ended their round two championship chances of winning by being knocked out of first round of eliminations on Sunday at Sydney Dragway.

Mildura’s Darren Morgan has maintained his points lead in the 2010/11 Australian Top Fuel Championship in what was a hard fought battle at Round 2 of the ANDRA Pro Series last weekend at Sydney Dragway.

Rob Pilkington made an impressive start to the drag racing season at Perth Motorplex with a win in Top Comp at the Grand Opening event on October 30.

The action came thick and fast at the Benaraby Raceway in Central Queensland during the final round of the Nitro Magazine 2010 South Queensland Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series across the weekend.

The Grand Opening for the nine-round Perth Motorplex track championship saw two days of smooth racing at the Kwinana venue with some good race day conditions providing the means to run some sizzling times.

The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is the controlling body of the sport of drag racing in Australia, delegated by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) and the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

After signing a major sponsorship deal with iconic Australian drag racing outfit Team Bray earlier this month, Sidchrome has been unveiled today as the new Official Hand Tool Supplier of the ANDRA Pro Series.

The new Track Championship Series (TCS) at Sydney Dragway is facing some challenges despite the success of round one. Competitor numbers were significantly down, notably from the Supercharged Outlaws teams over the reduction of prize money being the primary reason for their stance to stay home.
