Let there be light. The installation of the track’s light towers plus more feature in this latest update from The Bend Dragway’s construction.

This video update from The Bend Motorsport Park focuses on other aspects of the motorsport precinct, like accommodation options at or near the venue for travellers to the new drag racing venue.

The Bend Dragway has advised that after careful consideration, top-level drag racing at the facility will be delayed until October 2023. The construction team has done an incredible job building a world-class Dragway and the venue will begin operating minor events in late March with a grand opening scheduled for later in 2023.

In early 2023 we will see Australia’s newest drag strip come to fruition at The Bend Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend, South Australia, and the anticipation is building quickly, not only for South Australian’s who have been without professional level drag racing for a number years, but the boost it will give drag racing in Australia as a whole.

The Bend will further cement its place as Australia’s premier motorsport destination with construction started on a new $30 million dragway designed to host A-grade quarter-mile events
