PremiAir Racing and Peter Xiberras have claimed their second consecutive Australian Top Fuel title at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip this evening while being part of a heart-stopping side-by-side 500+kmh final.

With qualifying for Nitro Up North now complete, the stage has been set for what is sure to be an epic race day at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip tomorrow to conclude the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and kick off the 2022/2023 ADRC title chases.

It has taken 30 years but Top Fuel championship racing has returned to Victoria’s rejuvenated Heathcote Park Raceway in spectacular fashion, delivering amazing scenes on and off the track. A capacity crowd crammed HPR for Summernats Slam, a new motorsport festival concept, combining Top Fuel drag racing with burnouts, a show and shine and even fireworks.

PremiAir Racing is once again preparing for a double-header weekend, with the next round for both the Repco Supercars Championship and the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship (ATFC) to be held at the one event in Darwin next month.

This weekend, for the first time in 30 years, Top Fuel championship racing will return to Heathcote Park Raceway with the running of the fifth round of the Burson Auto Parts Top Fuel Championship. However a winner from the incomplete round four in Sydney still needs to be decided, ensuring a frenetic qualifying show on Saturday.
