Stuart Bishop completed his best ever season in Top Doorslammer in 2014, finishing second in the ANDRA championship – but it ended with a disastrous crash at Sydney Dragway following a transmission failure.
The 2015 ANDRA Championship Drag Racing season kicks into gear this weekend featuring Round 1 of the ANDRA Drag Racing Series for Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle at Perth Motorplex.

Queensland-based driver Grant O’Rourke will be competing this weekend in Top Doorslammer as part of the Home Group WA Nitro Slam at Perth Motorplex, getting the chance to be back in front of his family and friends.

Jet Car Max wrapped up on Friday night at Perth Motorplex, five days later than anticipated following a power outage last Sunday that forced the event to be continued at a later time.

Rhiannon Allison is officially a licensed jet dragster driver, completing her training this week at Perth Motorplex ahead of Jet Car Max on December 28. Allison is no stranger to dragster driving, having competed in Supercharged Outlaws, but this was her first time with jet propulsion. “Thanks to the team, ANDRA and the track safety crew for all your hard work over the last few weeks,” she said via Facebook. “Big thanks to Chuck (Haynes) for being a great mentor, Gary (Miocevich) for giving me this opportunity and Mum and Dad for all your support and staying calm. The new concrete racing surface at Fuchs South Coast Raceway at Portland will be given all it can take as the Schultz family up the power in their Supa Charger Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car with the addition of a bigger fuel pump and ignition system for the January 3 event.
