The Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series event is not until Saturday at Willowbank Raceway, but we have 3 days of testing to moisten the appetite, and already a World Record has fallen.

Willowbank pulled off a event double header last weekend with round two of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships, and the first round of a three round Eighth Mile Championship Series being run as a tribute to the late John ‘Stomper’ Winterburn.
The annual Day of the Drags event at Sydney Dragway is a cool and relaxed nostalgia skewed event, and great chance to see some classics on the black top.
The atmosphere was electric at Mildura’s Sunset Strip, with many of the big crowd experiencing Top Fuel for the first time. Conditions though were challenging for crew chiefs, and there will be some late night head scratching to come up with a tuning combination to battle the unique Mildura track on race day at round two of the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship.
The brand maybe extinct in production circles, but the Holden name will live on for a long time yet in drag racing with event like the Tuff Mounts Holden Drag Nationals at Heathcote Park Raceway.
Steel City Raceway has had a rough time of it in recent times, if COVID lockdowns didn’t cause enough disruptions, multiple flooding put strains on the only currently active South Australian drag strip.
Hard to believe, but Sydney Dragway somehow dodged the weather La Nina is wreaking on the East Coast of Australia to complete the opening round of the 2022 NSW Championship Series.
