With much of the country struggling to negotiate lockdowns to hold drag racing right now, Hidden Valley bagged their NT Titles event which made up round three of the local track championship.
The latest round of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships at Willowbank Raceway was effectively a rescheduled round of the wash out in round two. With perfect weather on offer, it looked like a perfect day’s racing was ahead, that was until the Queensland Government dropped a COVID-19 related bomb on the event, announcing a strict lockdown would be enforced from 4pm that afternoon.
The first round of Heathcote Park Raceway’s inaugural VIC/SA Sportsman Series was unfortunately struck down by tricky weather conditions and unable to be run to its completion, but we still have a few photos of the action to show you.
Nitro Up North is an iconic Australian event that has been through several incarnations at Hidden Valley Drag Strip, with the latest seeing it become part of a huge motorsport spectacle.
It wasn’t only record setting on track performances at this year’s Garrett Sydney Jamboree, a massive crowd surely broke attendance records as well.
