The Australian National Drag Racing Association wishes to provide the following update to its membership on the ongoing recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer.
The National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) has today announced an exclusive partnership with Australia’s Home of Motorsport, the Seven Network.
Australia’s quickest and fastest man on two wheels, Chris “NitroVoodoo” Matheson, has called time on his illustrious career. Matheson was the man to beat in Top Fuel Motorcycle racing for the last decade, as he and his NitroVoodoo team crossed Australia in their quest to rewrite history in the sport.
While the weather destroyed what was shaping up as a record setting Sydney Jamboree, a few racers made the most of the preceding test days including Collin Willshire who raised the four cylinder bar in Australia once again with the Jett Racing Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Round two of the popular Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series has been run and done at Willowbank Raceway on May 6. Radial racers of Australia once again turned it on as they went to war over the half track distance.
The 2023 Sydney Jamboree is go! After a false start earlier in the year, being forced to change dates due to other events, the racers and their cars are probably appreciating the cooler conditons a Jambo in May brings.

Australia – Andy Lopez and Nathan Prendergast, the team behind the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship, have today announced the creation of the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC). The NDRC is the new, unified national championship for drag racing in Australia.
Hard work and persistence have paid off in turning Lamattina Top Fuel Racing’s season around at Sydney Dragway for the 2023 Nitro Champs. Phil Lamattina was the top qualifier with a new personal best ET and finished runner up in the A-Final. Shane Olive earnt two round win lights, culminating in the C-Final win.

While the 2023 Nitro Champs might not have gone the way that the Hydraulink Jim Read Racing team might have hoped, the team are steadfast in their commitment to fight to the very end when it comes to the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship.
With a B-Final victory over Wayne Newby at this weekend’s Nitro Champs in Sydney, Peter Xiberras and PremiAir Racing have ensured they are in the box seat to challenge for their third straight national Top Fuel Championship.
This weekend’s Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway – the penultimate round of the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and Australian Drag Racing Championship chase – have ensured the Top Fuel title battle will go down to the wire at next month’s finale in Darwin.
The action at Sydney Dragway’s Nitro Champs – the penultimate round of the 2022/2023 Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and the Australian Drag Racing Championship (ADRC) for Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle – is set to heat up tomorrow (Saturday May 6) following the conclusion of qualifying for these brackets this evening.
