It has been rough time post-COVID for the return of the Queensland Drag Racing Championship at Willowbank Raceway. Rain has washed out two of the three rounds including the last which barely started eliminations before the dreaded wet stuff fell on the venue.
Following the announcement by the Queensland Government of a mandatory 3-day lockdown for greater Brisbane, which includes the Ipswich region, unfortunately 400 Thunder had have no option but to immediately cancel event scheduled for this Friday & Saturday April 2-36 2021, in order to keep fans and racers safe.
A number of event announcements sees the 400 Thunder Drag Racing Series aiming for a post COVID-19 restart at Willowbank Raceway with Super Thunder announced by Willowbank Raceway to go ahead at Easter.
In an exciting change to the Street Series for 2021 at Willowbank Raceway, there has been a shift to get back to “Real Street” racing between their street customers.
Willowbank Raceway is looking forward to a bumper crowd at the New Year’s Shootout event this weekend.
