The calendar for the 2010/2011 ANDRA Championship Drag Racing season, incorporating the ANDRA Pro Series and the Rocket Allstars Racing Series has been announced.

WA racer Craig Head is moving along in rebuilding his Supercharged Outlaws altered after a crash in testing a few months ago.

In what was a hectic six week lead-up to Sydney Dragway’s flagship event, the Fabietti piloted and powered Holden Trade Club Monaro took on and took out the country’s best ANDRA Top Doorslammer racers at the Nitro Champs.

  SFI advised the racing community that Impact Racing suits bearing 3.2A/5 certifications “made prior to 2009 have been constructed with non-compliant materials that, in SFI’s judgment, pose a safety risk to users of those suits.

The 2010 Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway will go down as one of the greatest ANDRA Drag Racing events ever, and certainly one of the very best in the several year history of the Eastern Creek located venue.

The quarter mile cross-country race for $20,000 has a new front runner in defending ANDRA Top Doorslammer champion, John Zappia.

Day two of qualifying for the Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway provided thrills in copious amounts as the ANDRA Pro Series completed qualifying rounds and the Rocket Allstars Racing Series began eliminations.

Stuart Bishop and his Diamond Doorslammer will face off against Sean Mifsud in round one of eliminations for Sydney’s Nitro Champs tomorrow after saving the best til last in qualifying this evening.

A cold night at Sydney Dragway led to an early finish of day one qualifying with conditions deemed unsafe to complete Top Fuel which was the only remaining bracket.

Shane Tucker has a new sponsor aboard for a multi-year deal with his Pro Stock team, starting from this weekend’s Nitro Champs event in Sydney.

Top Fuel rookie, Mark Mariani, will be looking for his first Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Fuel championship event win when the seventh annual Nitro Champs is staged at Sydney Dragway (SD), Eastern Creek, this weekend, Friday to Sunday, April 30-May 2. 

Sydney Dragway Managing Director, Tony Beuk, has announced changes to the Louie Rapisarda Top Fuel Tribute following the rained-out Summernationals event at SD in February.
