Willowbank Raceway announced that 400 Thunder Drag Racing fans around Australia are set to receive an unprecedented 35 hours of television coverage of the 53rd running of the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports, across Australia, and internationally via MAV TV USA and REV TV Canada.

Mario Polito ‘ready for more’ after delayed Pro Stock debut

Australian Pro Stock’s newest racer, Mario Polito made his long-awaited debut at the uber-successful Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder round on Saturday, May 8 at Sydney Dragway. While the Sydneysider didn’t score any round wins, the game-plan for the weekend was simply about taking the JD Concrete-sponsored Chevy Cobalt to half track.

NITRO THUNDER REPORT : Read “Bradburied” Top Fuel

January 2020 was the last time professional drag racing fired a shot in anger in Australia, as the 2021 Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder event restarted the longest championship series in history. The event was the penultimate round of the 400 Thunder championship for all brackets ahead of next month’s Winternationals and Mother Nature wasn’t going to let drag racing off easy with its comeback.
